There’s a whole lot of speculation out there as to what our world will look like when we come out of this quarantine period. The entire world is pretty much locked down, with only a handful of countries like Sweden who are rebelling against quarantine as a country. The entire world economy is a train wreck right now and it really is uncertain what things are going to look like in the future. One thing is for certain, I am not alone in being upset at how things were handled in the early days of this contagion. Of course, hindsight is 20/20, but there were so many things that people overlooked on purpose, or purposely misled the public, and it really irritates!

For our part, as a family, I feel like we locked down just in the nick of time. I’m thankful for that. Although I felt bad and it was awkward to lock up when everyone around us was still running around as usual, I know I made a wise choice. I do have quite a bit of apprehension as to how this is going to unfold after the danger has passed…and will we even know for sure that the danger HAS passed?

Today, we picked up six grafted fruit trees to plant in our yard. We were able to get a 5-in-1 and a 4-in-1 peach trees, a 4-in-1 pear, a 4-in-1 apple, an orange and a lemon. One of the peach trees is already fruiting, so we should have at least some fresh fruits soon! My tiered planters also arrived today, and I’m looking forward to ordering some fresh vegetable plants and picking them up from Calloways! I’m so happy that Calloways Nursery is doing online ordering with curbside pickup. It will be wonderful to have some fresh fruits and vegetables without wondering who has been handling them.

I spent a considerable amount of time playing online games with (s)Tinker today. We were playing the game Club Penguin, by Disney. Ordinarily, Club Penguin requires a membership to play most of the games, but right now, everyone has open access. It’s an interesting game, with lots of games and challenges with allow you to earn coins and buy pets and upgrades. My favorite part of the game today was a section where you solve mysteries. They give you a task, and you have to solve the mystery with little to no instructions. You just have to explore and figure it out. (s)Tinker and I spent a good hour on one of them looking for the final piece of the puzzle. It was really challenging!

Tonight’s dinner was chicken chili. It’s a super easy dish for me, and I really was having trouble coming up with a dinner tonight. Instant Pot for the win, once again! Now to start a new season of “Merlin” and chill! Happy weekend all!
